People won't like to hear it but this is the best Kingdom Hearts game
It's a good game. I think they really got somewhere with Phantom Liberty and 2.0. I am not super thrilled with the base game, but there's a good RPG to enjoy here
This is Kojima at his best. Everything great about ds1, but bigger and better + metal gear combat. Plus, pizza man quest
It's a fun time, glad I played it, but to me it never more than just a good time.
Star Wars works so well in a tactical game. The gameplay is so fun and satisfying. There are also some really great characters here; some I grew to enjoy a lot by the end
Balatro is a one of a kind in a sea of rogue-like deck builders. It truly is such an satisfying and mechanically deep game. It is my proudest platinum achievement. It is so impressive to me how playable it is while still being incredibly difficult. There are so many great build synergy options. In addition to the 400+ hours I've played of balatro, I've probably watched 400 more hours in speed runs and competitive play.
Control resonant is easily the standout game of 2026 for me. Remedy continue to develop the most interesting and impressive games on the market. Control resonant is the type of game that is the reason I play games. It does things that can only be done in this kind of interactive medium. There are a few small things that I would change about it, but nothing that holds it back from being a masterpiece of a game. They try so many things you've never really seen in a game before and most of them work. Combat is fun. Art direction and story are top tier. Just a team executing at a super high level across the board. Being a fan of remedy games is like watching an MCU movie, except when things connect between their games it's so thoughtful and deep. Nothing comes across like nostalgia bait. Instead it feels like something designed and planned 10 steps ahead.
I think Star Wars really is one of the great IPs that translate to games. There are such rich worlds and interesting ideas to pull from that work really well in an interactive medium. Galactic Racer is a continuation in a line of great Star Wars games. They really go for an immense sense of speed that comes across extremely well. Every action feels like a battle to get faster and faster, all while trying to avoid any small mistake which will cost your lead. There's a lot of talking in this game, but none of it is that interesting to me. There is one very interesting part of the game involving a legendary pod-racer from the films that I like a lot. Everything outside of that I tend to skip through. But that's okay, that's not the reason I am here for this game. As a racer it is very solid. There's many vehicle types, tracks, weather hazards, and environments. It feels great to play. I think it's game play loop falls a little short in some aspects. For some reason instead of a traditional campaign they have forced it into a rogue-like structure. It doesn't really work, however, as the runs become long and repetitive. There's no real reason for this to be a rogue-like. The upgrades are not that interesting. There's not really a reason to switch up your build, as once you find something that works you can just continue to use until the end. Losing a run feels very bad with little justification. I do not really see a version of this game that is less good with a traditional campaign with fail states. I applaud them for trying to make it work here. I just don't feel there is enough interesting things they have come up with here to make it work. However, it's still a great game that is extremely fun to play. It is great! If you're into racing games at all l think it's worth playing
