As a console gamer, I was averse to trying a "CRPG"; something with a heavy focus on text/dialogue, an isometric viewpoint, and (almost) no combat? And when I started it, I didn't think it was for me, just not "my kind of game". But I stuck it through and was blown away. Incredibly thoughtful in its writing; at times it's deeply moving, and at others it's some of the funniest dialogue and situations I've experienced in video games. And fellow CRPG non-enjoyers, fear not: it's not just text, it's not just statistics. Exploring the world and figuring out what to do next, what risks to take, and how you improvise when things go sideways makes it much more engaging than what I feared would be a kind of visual novel. And the soundtrack, my god. It's an incredible game about being a person of questionable morality, in a world that's much the same, and doing your best to improve both, which is often quite messy. 7/7 PS - if you've been putting this one off because you hear it's some insufferable attempt at pushing a political agenda, that's not the case. The game very clearly thinks each and every perspective is at the same time deeply flawed and kind of stupid but also, a very understandably human way to think lol
